Cliff focuses most of his time into teaching in his private drum studio and playing with indie rock band Lawn.

Outside of his career Cliff enjoys exploring nature, reading, and spending time with his wife and cat.

Cliff Dobson was born in Dayton, Ohio. His parents, while not musicians, had a deep love for music, and even hosted small music festivals. He got his first drum set at age 10, and so his journey as a musician began.

He played in school band for many years, and during high school, expanded his musical horizons by joining marching band, where he played in drumline. During the off-season, he immersed himself in indoor percussion, which quickly became one of his passions. This led him to join independent world class WGI Percussion groups such as STRYKE and Connexus at a young age. This took his musicianship to a new height, solidifying his pursuit of music as a career.

At age 16, Cliff found himself living in South Florida, where he immersed himself in music - in school and locally. It was during this time of transition that led him to the University of Miami's acclaimed Frost School of Music, where he spent his 4 years honing his craft. While there he also expanded his horizons into teaching, recording, music business, and his band Lawn. And married his wife, Morgan!

Cliff now resides in Miami, FL, where he runs a private teaching studio, and plays in Lawn.
